About the UV-C Egg Sanitization Machine.
UV-C sanitization treats the egg shell with 254 nm germicidal lamps inside a reflector chamber, exposing the top, sides and underside. At rated throughput it gives greater than 4-log reduction in surface bacteria, with no chemicals and no residue: nothing is added to the egg, which matters if you sell on a clean-label basis.
UV lamps dim long before they fail, and without a counter a farm can run for months believing it is sanitising when it is not. A lamp-hour counter with an alert tells you when efficacy is dropping. UV-safe interlocks are fitted on all access panels, and the enclosure is SS-304 with UV-shielded screens, rated IP54.
The HEUV-1L treats a single lane at 6,000 eggs an hour; the multi-lane HEUV-ML handles up to 10,000.
Where it sits in the line
UV must come after drying. It cannot reach the shell properly through water, so a UV unit needs a dryer, or a dry process, upstream.
