AI Egg Candling & Grading Machine

Our AI machines combine load-cell weighing with 360° camera inspection of every shell. They weigh and they inspect, sorting on both weight and defect in a single pass, and they replace the manual candling operator entirely, along with the variability that comes with them: inspection quality no longer falls away in the last hour of a shift.

The cameras detect cracks, shell damage, surface dirt and staining, and we stand behind not less than 95% correct classification. Weighing is by electronic load cell to ±1 gram. Detection thresholds are adjustable on the HMI, so you set your own accept and reject standard rather than accepting ours.

Sorting that saves water

The 2-lane HECV-2L-AI has three exits: cracked eggs leave the line, dirty eggs go to washing, and clean eggs bypass washing entirely. On a farm receiving mostly clean eggs, that cuts water, heating and effluent substantially and keeps the cuticle on every egg that never needed washing. Per-exit counts and defect ratios export to USB as CSV, which gives you hard data on incoming egg quality for farm management.

Two models

The HECV-2L-AI runs two lanes at about 10,000 eggs an hour. The HECV-6L-AI runs six lanes at 40,000 eggs an hour, for high-volume lines; at 10,000 eggs an hour it would be oversized, so we match the machine to your line rate. The photographs on this page are of a 6-lane machine running at a client's site.

Because it replaces the candling station, an AI machine is quoted in place of a manual candling unit, not on top of one.
